Biografie

Kathrin got her bachelor’s degree from the TH Köln including a one year stay abroad at the University of València. In 2021 she finished her master's degree in the lab of Prof. Kirsch at BUW working on thermolytic decomposition of geminal diazides. During this time, she carried out a three-month internship at PharmPur GmbH in Königsbrunn, Bavaria. In June 2021, she started in the SFK group as a PhD student focussing on semi-syntheses and extractions of pentacyclic triterpenoids from sustainable resources. She is also working on oxidation methodologies using hypervalent iodine catalysts.
